      Disposition:
      • Hero Complex - Stacia idolized other soul artists from an early age. The idea of someone who fights with a code of honor, protects the weak, and seeks the pinnacle of strength is something she's been fixated on for her entire life. She strives to uphold those ideals herself, so that she can be like the soul artists she admires. This is what led her to try and become a soul artist in the first place.
      • Curiosity - There are two kinds of androids in Stacia's galaxy - first-gen and second-gen androids. Gen1s are made to excel at one task, implanted with the knowledge to carry it out, and their mind is molded to do that one thing. Gen2s are general AIs, created as blank slates and capable of learning and evolving however they like. As a gen2, Stacia's curiosity is based in part on a foundational desire to expand her base of experience. Some continue to seek out the new and the unknown, some eventually land on one passion and dedicate their lives to it. Stacia's path was a combination of both - her desire to try new things and develop new skills ended up as a fixation on martial arts and soul arts, but her fascination with people never narrowed. She wants to meet people, learn everything about them, and behold more of what the infinite variation of the human/android condition has to offer. Every person is their own entire story, and the different worlds, cultures, and circumstances across a diverse galaxy are fascinating specifically because of how the people in them adapt and change accordingly. The question of what it means to be a person, its infinite possible answers, and how each person's history and ideals mold their lives paint a picture that Stacia never tires of exploring. This can lead her to wander into possibly dangerous situations without proper preparation, but she'd still describe it as something to be celebrated, even if it puts her in danger from time to time.
      • Stubborn as Hell - Stacia spent twelve years trying every known method to awaken her soul, in a world where everyone 'knew' that it was impossible - you need a soul to perform the soul arts, and androids don't have souls. Stacia's single-minded tenacity reaches the point of obsession. It could be said that everything that happened in the Soul Sanctum war, good and bad, happened because Stacia refused to back down, no matter how reasonable it would be to do so. If faced with a wall, she'll punch it until the wall breaks or her hands do. When the Nine Yards came under attack by a genius hacker, she insisted on using an anti-hacking soul art that her friend Cass had taught her, even though she wasn't very good at it - this led to her being hijacked and trying to kill her friends. Cass was able to repel the hack before she killed anyone, but the damage was already done - not just to the bodies of her friends, but to their trust in her, and her own faith in her abilities. In reality, the technique wasn't well suited to her, so she needed a lot more practice before using it in a real crisis, but at the time, Stacia's takeaway was that her own weakness was to blame for the damage she did. Backing down and accepting she can't do something doesn't come naturally to her.
      • Naivety - Stacia's curiosity and excitement for the unknown has a dangerous mixture with her relative lack of lived experience in the world of humans. This, combined with her overly trusting nature, leaves her just very easy to trick. This was what led to her getting into the clutches of Cass's master - the entire man was made out of red flags, but he did something ostensibly nice for her and Reva, so she trusted him blindly. The results were nearly disastrous, culminating in a criminal sociopath trying to force her to install an obedience module that would render her a slave to his will.

Suitability: As far as Stacia's concerned, everything going on in Noctium is just another in a long series of adventures. She'll be excited to participate in events due to her curiosity and desire to see more of the galaxy and its cultures. In terms of Synchrony and its implications, Stacia is very touch-feely even without the motivation, and also sexually active. She'll fit right in.

      Condition upon arrival: Perfectly healthy.

      Abilities:
The soul arts are martial arts techniques that channel the power of the soul through the body, creating a variety of effects limited only by the human imagination. For most people, the power of the soul is not readily accessible; forming a connection with your soul that lets you tap into it is called Awakening, and is a process that can take years. It requires meditation, rigorous training, self-reflection, and sometimes a spark of danger to push someone over the edge into Awakening. Once you do, the same process - combined with regular practice of the soul arts - can allow your soul to grow stronger, increasing the scope of what's possible. A soul artist with a body infused with soul energy and using the soul arts to deliver attacks is a weapon more powerful than any gun, capable of standing up to any foe.

For 40 years, one inviolable truth stood: Humans can use soul arts, androids can't. Therefore, androids don't have souls. Stacia's miracle was caused by three things. First, she spent all that time trying different methods of soul training from different schools of thought; none of these worked on their own, but together they laid a strong foundation, pushing her invisibly closer to an Awakening. Second, she altered her AI core to make it impossible to back her up or restore her from a copy, effectively granting her mortality. The fear of death ignites the flames of life, and is an important spark needed to strengthen your soul enough to make contact with it. Third, she fought for something she was willing to die for - in this case, one of her students being attacked by a minor space monster. Without the soul arts, she stood no chance of beating it, but she put her now-mortal life on the line in order to fight it regardless. That determination, plus her varied and long-built foundation, plus her will to live in the face of impossible odds, pushed her over the edge to become the first android soul artist.

As an android, Stacia is physically stronger and heavier than a human, and doesn't require food, water, or air to live. As a soul artist, she can reinforce her body even further, gaining massive strength and speed for limited periods of time. In battle, she fights bare-handed, but also uses her one Soul Art, called Soul Tracer. In its initial form, it simply fired a ray of soul energy along a pre-determined path, but she's upgraded it numerous times since then. The current Soul Tracer fires about a dozen rays simultaneously, each moving on its own path set at the time of the attack. Each ray is also an independent CPU process, capable of using basic boolean logic based on its surroundings to react in mid-flight, doing things like changing direction or splitting into even more rays. It's a powerful attack, but it uses a lot of soul energy, so its uses are somewhat limited.
